Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 2nd respondent to complete the enquiry with stipulated time fixed by this Honble Court for issuance of death certificate of the petitioners grandfather namely Raman son of Kamatchi, based upon the petitioners application dated 29.11.2022.

ORDER

This writ petition has been filed to direct the respondents to consider petitioner's application dated 29.11.2022.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that in this case, the petitioner has filed an application dated 29.11.2022 for issuance of death certificate of the petitioner's grandfather namely Raman son of Kamatchi. However, the said representation was not at all considered by the respondent till date. Hence, this petition.

3. In reply, the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondent would submit that the petitioner's application dated 29.11.2022 will be disposed of by the respondent within a period of 6 weeks.

4. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondent and also perused the entire materials available on record. 2/4

In view of the above, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, this Court directs the 2nd respondent to conduct an enquiry and thereafter pass appropriate orders, based on the petitioner's application dated 29.11.2022, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of 6 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. With the above directions, this writ petition is disposed of. No cost.
