PRAYER:Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a writ of Mandamus, directing the first respondent i.e., the Director of Survey and Settlement, Chennai to provide the petitioner a copy of the inter-se seniority list utilized for the purpose of preparation of approved list of Deputy Inspector of the year 2022-23, within a specified time frame that may be fixed by this Court.

ORDER

The instant writ petition has been filed by a Sub Inspector of Survey working in the office of the Special Tashildar, Ground Rent, Thiruppuvanam, seeking a mandamus as against the first respondent herein for providing a copy of the inter-se-seniority list, which was used for the purpose of preparation of approval list of Deputy Inspector for the year 2022-2023. 2.Seeking the said relief, the petitioner has sent a representation on 19.06.2024, which has been acknowledged by the first respondent herein. 3.Considering the above said facts, the first respondent herein is directed to consider the representation of the writ petitioner and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4.With the above said observations, this writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
