This Writ Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents to grant permission and to provide police protection to celebrate Independence day on 15.08.2023 and subsequent events scheduled at Sundapattivilai Village, South Soorankuty, Kanyakumari District, between 07 P.M., and 12 A.M., by considering petitioner's representation dated 24.07.2023.

2.When the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Counsel on either side submit that the relief sought for in this petition has become infructuous and therefore, nothing survives for adjudication.
