This petition has been filed to quash the proceedings in Crime No.40 of 2018 on the file of K-4 Puthupatti Police Station, Pudukkottai District, as against the petitioners.

The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent police would submit that the first respondent police has completed the investigation and filed final report before the learned Judicial Magistrate, Thirumayam, and it is pending for taking cognizance and hence, the prayer sought by the petitioners has become infructuous.
