Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the first respondent to expedite the revision petition which was filed by the Petitioner and his mother Vallithai before the first respondent as against the order, dated 16.11.2023 passed by the second respondent by his proceedings in Ni.Mu.Aa. 3/7231/2023 and to conclude the proceedings within the time 1/5

stipulated by this Court.

O R D E R

The Petitioner herein seeks a direction to the first respondent to expedite the revision petition filed by the Petitioner and his mother Vallithai before the first respondent challenging the order, dated 16.11.2023 passed by the second respondent in his proceedings in Ni.Mu.Aa.3/7231/2023.

2.Mrs.S.Jeya Priya, learned Government Advocate takes notice for the respondents 1 to 3. By consent of both parties, the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself. Since no adverse order is passed against the fourth respondent, notice to him is dispensed with.

3.It is the case of the Petitioner that the subject property was settled by Petitioner's mother under registered document, dated 23.8.2018. Thereafter separate patta was issued in the name of the Petitioner in Patta No.8354, after sub-division. The fourth respondent herein filed a petition before the official respondents for cancellation of sub-division and issuance of separate patta. 2/5

The said appeal was allowed cancelling the sub-division and issuance of patta in favour of the Petitioner. Aggrieved by the said order, the Petitioner preferred a revision before the first respondent on 23.04.2025. The same has not been considered till date. Hence the Petitioner is before this Court with the present Writ Petition for the relief stated supra.

4.Mrs.S.Jeya Priya, learned Government Advocate who takes notice for the respondents 1 to 3 would submit that the revision filed by the Petitioner will be considered in accordance with law, within the time stipulated by this Court. 5.In view of the same, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, the first respondent is directed to consider the revision filed by the Petitioner, dated 23.4.2025 and pass final orders on its own merits after issuing notice to the Petitioner and fourth respondent, within a period of 12 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6.With the above directions, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
