O R D E R

This writ petition seeks a direction to the respondents 2 and 3 to cancel the patta in the name of the respondents 4 to 32 and issue patta in the petitioner's name for the property in Survey No.522/2 for an extent of 7 acres and 17 cents situated at Naranapuram Village, Sivagiri Taluk, Tenkasi District, by virtue of registered sale deed in Doc.Nos.623/1950 and 1276/1954 on the file of the Sub-Registrar Office, Puliyangudi by considering the petitioner's representation dated 29.09.2022 within the time frame.

When the matter was taken up for hearing, learned Government Advocate appearing on behalf of respondents 1 to 3 submits that the petitioner's representation is pending before the second respondent / Revenue Divisional Officer and that the same will be considered and disposed of in accordance with law.

In view of the above submissions, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the second respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 29.09.2022 on merits and in accordance with law and pass appropriate orders, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4. Such representation shall be considered and disposed of after conducting an inquiry, affording a reasonable opportunity to the petitioner, the respondents 4 to 32 and to all other persons who may be affected by such decision during the course of the inquiry. In the event of any issues pertaining to land disputes, the parties shall approach the competent civil court. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
