Respondents Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus, by directing the first respondent to safeguard the petitioner's life and liberty through his subordinates i.e. 2nd to 6th respondent from the 7th to 12th respondents and their henchmen.

ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking a direction to issue a Mandamus against the first respondent to safeguard the life of the petitioner from respondents 7 to 12.

2. The petitioner claims that the sixth respondent had filed a First Information Report against respondents 7 to 9, 11 and 12 pursuant to the complaint given by the petitioner which was registered as FIR in Crime No.13 of 2014 dated 11.01.2014 under Sections 376 and 506 (ii) of IPC.

3. Mr.S.Shanmugavel, learned Additional Government Pleader has forwarded a final report in the said First Information Report in which, it had been stated that further action had been dropped and the said final report had been presented before the Judicial Magistrate at Sathankulam on 19.06.2016. This final report was filed pursuant to the directions of this Court in Crl.OP.(MD).No.2104 of 2014 by order dated 20.06.2014.

4. Nothing further survives in the Writ Petition. Accordingly, this Writ Petition is dismissed. There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
