ORDER

When the matter was taken up for hearing, a status report was filed by the respondent. The relevant portion of the same is extracted hereunder :

"9. I humbly submit that after the receipt of his representation the then Inspector of Police has address letter to the Information Technology Cell Inspector on 21.08.2022 to give the certificate to the effect for storing the CCTV footage. After the receipt of the same, by the communication dated 07.10.2022 the Information Technology Cell Inspector informed that the CCTV footage can be stored from 90 to 120 days. For the sake convenience the details are extracted hereunder :

'...Herewith I have verified the CCTV backup details in Elamchembur P.S. IVR. In that CCTV footage are stored in NVR from 90 to 120 days as per the specification of CCTV M/s.Look Man Company...' The above said information was provided to the petitioner at the time of earlier hearing on 29.11.2024.

10. I humbly submit that in view of the above technical issue the details sought for by the petitioner cannot be provided to him. Due to inadvertence, the 2/4

communication addressed by the Inspector of Police, Kadaladi Police Station dated 21.08.2022 and the report received from the Inspector of Police (Technical) Information Technology Cell, District Police, Ramanathapuram dated 07.10.2022 were not produced before this Hon'ble Court at the time of hearing of the Writ petition. Therefore the question of willful disobedience of the court order will not arise."
