O R D E R This Criminal Original Petition is filed to direct the 2nd respondent to drop the investigation in Crime No.585 of 2015, dated 15.09.2015 by considering the representation of the petitioner, dated 05.07.2023. .

2. The defacto complainant has filed this petition stating that he does not want to pursue the matter further, on the ground that she want to drop the proceedings initiated against the accused.

3. But such a plea cannot be taken at the instigation of the defacto complainant before this Court. If she does not want to pursue the matter further, she can very well appear before the second respondent Police and give statement to that effect. The second respondent may act upon the statement to be given by the petitioner, if any, and take further course of action.

4. With the above said direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
