ORDER

The petitioner, claiming to be the owner of the land in Survey No. 422/18 situated in Alangudi Village, Viralimalai Taluk, Pudukkottai District, has filed this petition, seeking a direction to the respondent Police to provide police protection to his life and limb.

2. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has purchased the abovesaid land by way of a valid document and he has also raised certain crops in the land. The private respondents, namely respondents 4 to 8 are creating problems and preventing the petitioner from doing agricultural activities and also posing a life threat to the petitioner. Therefore, the petitioner has filed this petition seeking police protection.

3. Mr.P.Kottaichamy, learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) submits that the petitioner has already made a request for conducting the 2/4

survey and fixing boundaries, for which, police protection was granted. Now, the petitioner has filed this petition seeking police protection for fencing his property.

4. This Court considered the rival submissions made.

5. In the event, if anybody takes the law into their hands, the petitioner may capture the same and inform it to the respondent Police. Since it is only an apprehension, this Court is not inclined to grant the relief as prayed for.

6. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is closed. In the event, if anybody takes the law into their hands, the respondent Police shall take necessary action as against those persons. 23.07.2025 NCC : Yes/No Index : Yes/No Internet:Yes ogy 3/4
