Respondents PRAYER:- The Contempt petition filed under Section 11 of the Contempt of Court Act, 1971, to initiate Contempt Proceedings against the contemnors/respondents and punish them for the wilful disobedience of the order of this Court in WP.(MD)No.1219 of 2025 dated 20.01.2025.

ORDER

The petitioner has approached this Court that the orders of this Court in WP.(MD)No.1219 of 2025 dated 20.01.2025 has not been complied with.

2.The petitioner has filed the above said writ petition seeking a direction to the respondents to provide Police protection to the petitioner and her husband for their life. This Court while deciding the said writ petition has passed an order directing the Inspector of Police, Thiruppalaikudi to transfer all the first information reports in Cr.Nos.174/14, 115/19, 108/21, 58/22, 135/22, 85/23, 128/23, 187/24 to the file of the Deputy Superintendent of Police, Thiruvadanai, who shall take up the investigation in all the cases and file final report and also ensure protection and take appropriate action against the offenders. The petitioner with a grievance that the orders of this Court has not been complied with.

3.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the contemnors/respondents, based on the written instructions, submits that even the before orders of this Court, final report has been filed as follows:- 2/5

1.In respect of case in Cr.No.115/19, final report filed on 24.02.2022.

2.In respect of case in Cr.No.108/21, final report filed on 20.12.2021.

3.In respect of case in Cr.No.58/22, final report filed on 30.08.2022.

4.In respect of case in Cr.No.135/22, final report filed on 23.08.2022.

5.In respect of case in Cr.No.85/23, final report filed on 19.07.2023.

6.In respect of case in Cr.No.128/23, final report filed on 17.12.2023.

7.In respect of case in Cr.No.187/24, final report filed on 18.01.2025.

4.Since final reports have been filed in most of the cases, even before the orders of this Court, this contempt petition is closed with a direction to the respondent Police to furnish copies of the final reports to the petitioner enabling her to workout the remedy in the manner known to law.
