ORDER
This Writ Petition is disposed of at the time of admission after hearing the learned counsel for the petitioner and the respondents 1 and 2 and after dispensing with notice on the respondents 3 to 6 as no adverse orders are proposed to be passed at this stage against them in this Writ Petition.
2. This Writ Petition is filed for Mandamus to direct the respondents 1 and 2 to initiate action for recovery of wakf properties belonging to Old Kabarasthan Wakf (Sunni) Wakf, Trichy, under Section 52 of Wakf Act, 1995 based on the petitioner's representation dated 22.02.2025.
3. The specific case of the petitioner appears to be that the respondents 3 to 6 have encroached upon the Wakf property and therefore, the petitioner has sent a representation to the respondents 1 and 2 to take steps under Section 52 of the Wakf Act, 1995.
4. The learned Standing Counsel for the respondents 1 and 2 submits that the petitioner's representation dated 22.02.2025 will be considered and disposed of on merits.
5. Recording the above submission, this Writ Petition is disposed of by directing the first respondent to pass appropriate orders on the petitioner's representation dated 22.02.2025 within a period of twelve (12) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Needless to state, before passing such orders, the petitioner and the respondents 3 to 6 shall be heard. There shall be no order as to costs.
