The instant Writ Petition has been filed by a retired Checking Inspector of a respondent Transport Corporation seeking a Mandamus for disbursement of difference in wages and Grade Pay, based upon the 12(3) settlement dated 04.01.2018.
2. According to the learned counsel appearing for the writ petitioner, after his retirement, 12(3) settlement was entered into on 04.01.2018, conferring the benefits from 01.09.2017. However, the said benefits are yet to be conferred upon him. Hence, he has sent a representation to the respondents on 14.08.2024. Since there was no response, the present writ petition has been filed.
3. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents. 2/4
4. Considering the above said facts, the respondents herein are directed to confer the eligible benefits upon the writ petitioner along with interest at the rate of 6% p.a., from the due date till the date of payment, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
5. With the above said observations, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
