PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to settle a sum of Rs.24,275/- towards the payment of Service Surrender Leave Salary amount, payable to the petitioner for the period from 2009 to 2011, together with 6% interest from the date of his retirement i.e.,31.05.2016 to till the date of payment and all other attendant benefits to him within the stipulated period. 1/4

ORDER

The present writ petition has been filed by a retired employee of the respondent transport Corporation seeking a mandamus to settle his service surrender leave salary for the period between 2009 to 2011 along with 6% interest from the date of his retirement.

2.Admittedly, the petitioner has retired on 31.05.2016, and his service surrender leave salary has not been disbursed. 3.Considering the above said facts, the respondents are directed to disburse the eligible surrender leave salary of the petitioner along with 6% interest from the due date till the date of realisation within a period of 12 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 2/4

4.With the above said observations, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
