PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, calling for the records pertaining to the Impugned Order passed by the fourth Respondent dated nil and quash the same insofar as rejecting usage of Chendamelam in condition No.17 alone and consequently to 1/4

direct the respondents to grant permission for Chendamelam with the car procession scheduled to be held on 09.09.2022 in connection with Sri VinaiTheerkum Vinayagar Temple situated at Chidambarapuram, Radhapuram, Tirunelveli District.

When the matter is taken up for hearing today (ie.,13.09.2022), the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the Respondents submitted that the petitioner sought permission for Chendamelam with the car procession in a particular area on 09.09.2022. Since on that day there was no order from this Court, this Writ Petition has become infructuous.

2.The learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that by way of reply to the learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that if the writ petition is dismissed, the Respondent will object the same in future.

3.Recording the submission made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the Respondents, this Writ Petition is dismissed as Infructuous. No costs.
