ORDER
This Criminal Original Petition filed, under Section 528 of BNSS., seeking orders, to call for the records pertaining to the Crime No.279 of 2020 on the file of the first respondent and quash the same as illegal.
2. When the matter is taken up for hearing today (i.e.,03.09.2024), the learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the State would submit that the first respondent, after completing the investigation, has laid the final report and the case was taken on file in C.C.No.1732 of 2022 and the same is pending on the file of the Court of the Judicial Magistrate, Karaikudi.
3. Since the charge sheet has already been filed and the case was taken on file, nothing survives for further adjudication in this petition. Hence, the Criminal Original Petition is dismissed as infructuous. The petitioner is at liberty to challenge the charge sheet, if so advised.
