PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondent to include the petitioner's name in the panel for promotion to the post of Associate Professor for the year 2024-2025 by considering petitioner's representation dated 18.02.2025 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law within the period that may be stipulated by this Court.

ORDER

The present Writ Petition has been filed by a Senior Assistant Professor working in the Government Medical College, Virudhunagar District, seeking a mandamus as against the respondent to include his name in the panel for promotion to the post of Associate Professor for the year 2024-2025. 2.Seeking the said prayer, the petitioner has sent a representation on 18.02.2025, to the respondent herein.

3.Considering the fact that the representation is pending for the past 5 months, this Court directs the respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner on merits and in accordance with law and pass orders within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 4.With the above said observations, this Writ Petition stands disposed of.
