ORDER

The petitioner who has sought a mandamus directing the respondents that is, Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation (Madurai) to settle his dues of gratuity with interest, is stated to have passed away on 10.11.2021.

2. During his lifetime, he has in fact made a representation before the respondents setting out the identical prayer as in this writ petition. Thus, on both counts, it would suffice and in fact be appropriate to close this writ petition, however, granting liberty to the legal heirs of the petitioner to pursue the prayer for gratuity and interest before R1. No costs.
