Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Habeas Corpus, directing the respondents 1 and 2 to produce the person or body of the wife of the petitioner namely B.Muthumari aged about 33/22, W/o.M.Baskaran before this Court and set her at liberty.

This petition was filed to secure the body of the whereabouts of the petitioner namely, Muthumari.

2. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor, on instructions, submitted that pursuant to the registration of the FIR in Crime No.66 of 2022, the detenue was secured and her statement was recorded. The detenu was not willing to go with the petitioner and she preferred going along with her father. Relevant material substantiating the same has also been produced before this Court.
