This Habeas Corpus Petition has been filed by the wife to produce the body of her husband who went missing from 15.08.2022.
2. Heard M/s.A.Amala, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.A.Thiruvadi Kumar, learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents.
3. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor, on instructions, submitted based on the complaint given by the petitioner, "man missing" FIR has been registered in Crime No.183 of 2022 and the same is under active investigation.
4. In the considered view of this Court, this Habeas Corpus Petition can be disposed of with a direction to the second respondent police to proceed further with the investigation in line with the guidelines issued by this Court in K.Sugumari Vs. The Superintendent of Police, Virudhunagar District and others reported in 2018 (2) LW (Crl.) 636 and the detenu shall be secured as expeditiously as possible. (J.N.B.,J.)
