Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for issuance of a writ of mandamus, directing the respondents to pay terminal benefits from CPC Account of the petitioner's husband namely Subramanian, CPC Account No. 8001001172 retired from 3rd respondent school within a stipulated time based on the petitioner's representation, dated 06.06.2022.

ORDER

The instant Writ Petition has been filed by the legal heir of the deceased Watchman, who was working in the third respondent school, seeking a mandamus to disburse the terminal benefits of her husband, namely, Subramanian, based upon her representation, dated 06.06.2022.

2. Learned counsel appearing for the third respondent has submitted, that, already, a sum of Rs.3,55,688/- has been disbursed to the petitioner and, for the balance amount of Rs.1,31,254/- (missing credit), orders are awaited from the first respondent.

3. The learned Additional Government Pleader, on instructions from the second respondent, submitted that as soon as orders are received from the first respondent, the balance amount of Rs.1,31,254/- would also be disbursed.

4. Considering the above said facts, the first respondent is directed to consider the proposal forwarded by the second respondent relating to the missing credit of the deceased Subramanian and pass orders within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt or production of copy of this order.

5. Writ Petition is allowed to the extent as stated above. No costs. 27.08.2024 NCC :
