ORDER
This Writ Petition is disposed of at the time of admission with the consent of the learned counsel for the petitioner, learned Government Advocate for the respondents 1 and 2 and learned Government Advocate for the third respondent.
2. The petitioner has challenged the impugned order passed by the first respondent, dated 20.09.2024. By the impugned order, the order of the second respondent/Revenue Divisional Officer, dated 09.10.2023 has been confirmed.
3. It appears that the aforesaid order was passed pursuant to the application filed by the petitioner's deceased grandmother under the provisions of the Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Act, 2007 on 2/4
17.10.2023. However, without getting benefit of the fruits of the order, the petitioner's grandmother died on 20.03.2024.
4. Since the order has been passed after the death of the petitioner's grandmother i.e., 20.03.2024 by the first respondent on 20.09.2024, the order is liable to be set aside. Considering the same, the impugned order passed by the first respondent, dated 20.09.2024 is set aside together with consequential relief.
5. This Writ Petition is disposed of, with the above observations. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed. Index : Yes / No 25.07.2025 Internet : Yes / No apd To
