Seeking quashment of the proceedings in Crime No.194 of 2025, on the file of the first respondent police, the petitioner has approached this Court.

2.Mr. E.Antony Sahaya Prabahar, learned Additional Public Prosecutor, who takes notice for the first respondent submits that the investigation in Crime No.194 of 2025 has already been completed and final report has also been filed before the Judicial Magistrate Court, I, Usilampatti, through e-filing on 26.05.2025 and the same is yet to be taken on file.

3.Recording the aforesaid submission made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, this Criminal Original Petition is closed. The petitioners are at liberty to challenge the final report, in the manner known to law. Mere filing of final report is not sufficient and it is the responsibility of the respondent police to ensure that the final report is filed without any defects and it is taken on file by the Judicial Magistrate 2/4

Court, I, Usilampatti. It is also the responsibility of the learned Judicial Magistrate No.I, Usilampatti to take the final report on file, if it is filed in order, within a period of one week from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The petitioners are permitted to file a copy application before the learned Judicial Magistrate No.I, Usilampatti and the same has to issued without any delay. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
