PRAYER in W.P.(MD) No.18090/2014: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus to call for the records pertaining to the office order bearing Na.Ka.E3/93/2013 dated 20.06.2013 issued by the District Revenue Officer & Additional District Magistrate, Virudhunagar District the 2nd respondent herein and quash the same and consequently direct the District Revenue Officer & Additional District Magistrate, Virudhunagar District the 2nd respondent herein to renew the revolver license No.1/2000 (Tiruchuli) of the petitioner.
Prayer in W.P.(MD) NO.18091/2014: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus to direct the District Revenue Officer & Additional District Magistrate, Virudhunagar the 2nd respondent herein to consider the application of the petitioner dated 22.11.2013 for renewal of Gun license No.2/98 (thiruchuli) without regard to the objection of the 3rd respondent dated 12.02.2014 and consequently renew the Gun license No.2/98 (Tiruchuli).

W.P.(MD)Nos.18090 and 18091 of 2014 COMMON ORDER When the writ petitions were taken up for hearing, it is submitted by the learned Government Advocate that the license was not renewed by the respondents on the ground that a criminal case is pending against the petitioner.
2. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the case ended in acquittal.
3. It is left open to the petitioner to make a fresh application seeking for renewal before the respondents and the same shall be considered on its own merits and in accordance with law. Both the writ petitions are disposed of accordingly. No costs. Consequently M.P. No.1 of 2014 is closed.
