PRAYER: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 3rd respondent to allot the vacant place in Vembar Village & Post, Vilathikulam Taluk, Thoothukudi District for erecting additional electricity transformers and further, to direct the respondents 1 and 2 to install additional electricity transformers by considering the petitioner's representation dated 29.05.2024 within the stipulated time fixed by this Court. 1/4

ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by S.M.SUBRAMANIAM, J.) With reference to the relief sought for in the present Writ Petition, this Court is of the considered opinion that it is an administrative decision to be taken by the Panchayat by identifying the lands for the purpose of installing transformers by TANGEDCO. However, there is no complaint from the petitioner that electricity supply has not been given to him. That being so, no cause for instituting this Writ Petition has been made. Thus, this Writ Petition stands dismissed. No costs.
