Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of Writ of Mandamus, to direct the the respondents to make necessary entry in the Taluk as well as the Village Revenue Records in S.No.220/2, for the measurement of 0.94.0 Ares of punja land in Mallal Revenue Firka of Athapadaki Revenue Group in Karumanthakudi Village of Sivagangai District within the time limit as prescribed by this Honble Court as per the representation made by the petitioner dated 18.06.2019, 06.09.2019, 22.01.2020 as well as the proceedings of the 1st respondent dated 23.09.2019, 23.01.2020 and the proceedings of the District Collector, Sivagangai dated 04.02.2021.

The petitioner has the benefit of assignment which assignment has been filed as a document. The assignment was on 10.08.2005 issued by the first respondent.

2. Naturally after assignment of land, seeks transfer of her name in the village revenue records. She had given representation to various authorities.

3. Finally the first respondent had directed by proceedings dated 23.09.2019 to the second respondent/ Tahsildhar Kalaiyarkovil Taluk Sivagangai District to examine the representation of the petitioner and if it is in order to make necessary entries in the village revenue records.

4. The grievance of the petitioner is that the second respondent has not taken any further steps .

5. A direction is issued to the second respondent, to with the assistance of the third respondent/Village Administrative Officer, Athapadaki Revenue Group, Athapadaki Post, Kalaiyarkovil Taluk, Sivagangai District to identify the land of the petitioner and thereafter determine whether the petitioner is the assignee of the land, examine revenue records and make necessary entries in the village revenue records. Such exercise shall be completed within a period of 12 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. With the above direction, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
