This Criminal Orginal Petition filed U/S 528 of BNSS/ 482 of Criminal Procedure Code, to direct the Special Court for the Exclusive Trial of POCSO Act Cases, Nagercoil, Kanyakumari to expedite the trial in Spl.S.C.No. 1 of 2018 and complete the trial with in a stipulated time.

ORDER:- This Criminal Orginal Petition coming on for hearing on this day under the caption 'Extension of time for lower court' and upon perusing the earlier order of this Court dated 28.08.2024 and subsequently granted time and now the requisition letter submitted by the Sessions Judge,Kannyakumari @ Nagercoil vide his the Letter in D.No.528/2025, dated 15.04.2025, seeking further two months time for dispose of the case Spl.S.C.No.1 of 2018, this Court made the following order:

This Court, while disposing of Crl.OP.(MD)No.14117 of 2024, by its order, dated 28.08.2024 has directed the learned Sessions Judge, Special Court for the exclusive trial of POCSO Act Cases, Nageroil, Kanniyakumari to dispose of the case in Spl.S.C.No.1 of 2018, within a period of four months from the date of receipt of a copy of that order.

2.The learned Sessions Judge has circulated a letter dated 15.04.2025, seeking further time to dispose of Spl.S.C.No.1 of 2018. 3.In view of the above, further time of two months is granted as requested by the learned Sessions Judge, Mahila Court, Madurai, to dispose of the case in Spl.S.C.No.1 of 2018.
