PRAYER: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to grant Ordinary leave for the period of 30 days to the petitioner's brother, Kumar @ Selvakumar, son of Aandi Mudhaliyar (LCP.No.678 and PID.No.18021) languishing in Palayamkottai Central Prison for the past 15 years by considering the petitioner's representation dated 09.07.2025.

ORDER
(Order of the Court was made by A.D.JAGADISH CHANDIRA,J.) This writ petition has been filed for issuance of a writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to grant 30 days emergency leave to the petitioner's brother, Kumar @ Selvakumar, son of Aandi Mudhaliyar (LCP.No.678 and PID.No.18021) languishing in Palayamkottai Central Prison for the past 15 years by considering the petitioner's representation dated 09.07.2025.
2. Heard Mr.S.M.A.Jinnah, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.A.Thiruvadi Kumar, learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents.
3.Taking into consideration the facts and circumstance of the case and the limited relief sought for in the writ petition and without going into the merits of the case, there shall be a direction to the respondents to consider the representation made by the petitioner dated 09.07.2025 strictly in accordance with law and take a decision within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
4.With the above direction, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
