ORDER
The petitioner seeks a direction to the official respondents to consider her representation dated 25.04.2022, seeking cancellation of her marriage registration certificate issued by the 3rd respondent. 2.It is the case of the petitioner that she had completed her higher secondary education during the academic year 2013-2015 in Pudukkottai and she had a close friend, namely, Kavi, who introduced her cousin / 4th respondent to the petitioner. Thereafter, he used to talk to the petitioner in a friendly manner. In such circumstances, she got admission for perusing graduation at Medical University in Russia and went to Russia on 29.10.2015. In the year 2016, when the petitioner came to India, she met the 4th respondent. During her second year vacation, when she came to India, on 16.08.2017, her friend Kavi called the petitioner to bring her passport size photo, Aadhar Card and Family Card in order to sign some papers for property transaction at the Thanjavur Government Office. Therefore, they went Thanjavur. At that time, the 4th 2/4
respondent and his friends took the petitioner and her friend Kavi to Thanjavur Governance Office, where they obtained the signature of the petitioner in some documents, as if the 4th respondent is purchasing some properties. Thereafter only, the petitioner came to know that marriage certificate has been registered. According to her, she has not consented to the marriage. Therefore, she made a representation dated 25.04.2022 to the official respondents, seeking cancellation of the marriage certificate. Since the same has not been considered so far, she has filed this Writ Petition.
3.At the outset, this Court is of the view that this Writ Petition is not maintainable and the appropriate remedy for the petitioner is to approach the competent civil Court, seeking for nullity of marriage or other reliefs available under the Hindu Marriage Act, 1955. Accordingly, this Writ Petition is dismissed. No costs.
