ORDER

The petitioner, seeking permission for conducting Kabadi Tournament at Kaliyamman Temple Thidal, Puliyankudi, Tenkasi District, on 02.08.2025 and 03.08.2025, has submitted a representation before the respondent Police and also filed this writ petition seeking a direction to the respondent Police to grant permission to conduct Kabadi Tournament.

2. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submits that they are not having any objection for granting permission, however, the petitioner is requesting to conduct Kabadi Torunament during the late night hours and therefore, they have not considered the petitioner's representation. In the event, if the petitioner is inclined to change the time for conducting the Kabadi Tournament during the day hours, then, there is no impediment for them to grant permission.

3. The petitioner is not supposed to disturb the public under the guise 2/4

of conducting Kabadi Tournament. If they want to conduct the Kabadi Tournament, let them conduct the Kabadi Tournament in the daytime. Therefore, the respondent Police is directed to consider the petitioner's representation and grant permission by restricting the time limit for conducting the Kabadi Tournament on 02.08.2025 and 03.08.2025.

4. With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
