PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents 1 to 3 to implement the Government G.O. And the third respondent's circular in Na.Ka.No. 56835/2012/H2 dated 14.11.2012 properly to prevent the fire accidents at the time of temple towers renovation works in future, consequently direct the second and third respondents to recover the entire expenses of the Kalayarkovil Sornakaleeswarar Temple's twin tower renovation works from the fourth respondent and take necessary action against the fourth respondent as per the third respondent's circular dated 14.11.2012. Though the matter has been posted under the caption 'for dismissal', there was no representation for the Petitioner when the matter was called at 12.05 p.m. today, apart from the earlier hearing on 25.01.2023. There does not appear to be any useful purpose being served in keeping the Writ Petition pending indefinitely when the Petitioner is not interested in prosecuting the same.

In such circumstances, the Writ Petition is dismissed for non-prosecution.
