JUDGMENT
This Criminal Appeal has been filed to set aside the judgment and conviction passed in C.C.No.290 of 2008 dated 29.07.2016 by the 2nd Additional NDPS Act Cases, Madurai.
2.Today, when the matter is taken up for hearing, there is no representation for the appellant. Already, the learned Government Advocate(Crl.side) appearing for the respondent filed a report of the Village Administrative Officer, Allikundam Group, Usilampatti Taluk, Madurai District, stating that the appellant died and also the President, Allikundam Group had given letter to that effect. 3.On perusal of the above said documents shows that the appellant herein died four years back. Hence, this criminal appeal is dismissed as abated.
