..Respondents PRAYER : Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondent Nos.2 to 5 to take appropriate action against the indiscriminate illegal Gravel sand and Savadu sand quarrying made by the unauthorized Brick Kilns at villages namely Periyammapatti, Iravimangalam, Sitharevu, Iyyampulli and Balasamuthiram at Palani Taluk, Dindigul District by considering the representation dated 15.03.2019 made by the petitioner within the time frame stipulated by this Court.

ORDER
[Order of this Court was made by T.S.SIVAGNANAM, J.] Heard Mr.I.Pinaygash, learned counsel for the petitioner, Mr.A.K.Baskara Pandian, learned Special Government Pleader, for respondents 1 to 5 and Mr.S.Angappan, learned Government Advocate for the sixth respondent. By consent on either side, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal.
2. This writ petition designed as Public Interest Litigation has been filed seeking for a direction upon the respondents to take appropriate action against the indiscriminate illegal mining of gravel sand and savadu sand by the unauthorized Brick Kilns.
3. Photographs have been produced to show that indiscriminating mining activities are going on. Since the representation is pending with the authorities, we do not wish to express any opinion on the points canvassed by the petitioner, but we direct the second respondent to take note of the representation, direct his officials to conduct surprise inspection and initiate appropriate action within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
4. With the above direction this writ petition is disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
