ORDER
The instant writ petition has been filed seeking a mandamus to direct the respondent Nos.1 to 4 to conduct departmental enquiry and initiate appropriate action as against the sixth respondent on the allegation that he has amassed wealth disproportionate to his known sources of income.
2. A status report was called for from the Inspector General of Police, South zone and he had filed a status report on 10.12.2024 to the effect that he had conducted a preliminary enquiry and he has forwarded the records to the Director General of Police. A second status report has been filed on 22.01.2025 2/4
to the effect that the Director General of Police had instructed the Additional Director General of Police, Crime Branch CID to initiate departmental action as against the sixth respondent under Rule 17(b) of TamilNadu Civil Services (Disciplinary and Appeal) Rules, 1955.
3. In view of the action initiated by the respondents Nos. 1 to 4 herein, no further orders are called for. Therefore, the writ petition stands closed. It is open to the sixth respondent to submit his explanation in case if any charge memo is issued to him.
