CRL.A.(MD)Nos.444 to 447 of 2016 COMMON JUDGMENT When the matter came up for hearing on the previous occasion, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted a copy of the order of this Court passed by His Lordship Mr.Justice.K.Kalyanasundaram, in Crl.O.P.(MD)Nos.20451 to 20454 of 2016, dated 25.10.2016, wherein, the cases in S.C.Nos.82 to 85 of 2016, which are the subject matter of these appeals, were quashed in respect of the petitioners therein are concerned. In that case, the appellant's name was not found. Therefore, to clarify the status of the present appellant, the case was posted "for clarification" today.
2.Today, when the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate (crl.side) furnished the copies of the orders of this Court in Crl.O.P.(MD)Nos.7580, 7581, 7584 and 7608 of 2017, passed by His Lordship Mr.Justice S.S.Sundar, whereby, the pending cases in S.C.Nos.82 to 85 of 2016, were quashed in respect of the appellant herein also.
3.These appeals have been filed challenging the order passed by the learned II Additional District and Sessions Judge, Tirunelveli, cancelling the bail petitions filed by the appellant herein. Since, the original cases have already been quashed by this Court, nothing survives for further adjudication. Hence, these appeals are dismissed as infructuous.
