On the last hearing date i.e., on 05.08.2024, learned counsel for the petitioner sought time to get instructions with regard to the following submissions made by the learned counsels appearing for the respective respondents:
(a) This writ petition has been filed, on the ground that despite the fact that the petitioner has succeeded before the Honourable Supreme Court, he has not been granted pension and instead, the seventh respondent alone is receiving pension.
(b) This writ petition has now become infructuous, in view of the fact that subsequent to the filing of this writ petition, the petitioner has been receiving pension, as per the orders of the Honourable Supreme Court.
2. Learned counsel for the petitioner is unable to report to this Court today as to whether the submissions made by the learned counsels appearing for the respective respondents, as extracted supra, are true or not, despite having been granted an opportunity for the same on the last hearing date i.e., on 05.08.2024.
