Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 2nd respondent to dispose the petitioner's representation dated 15.11.2024. ORDER

The petitioner herein seeks a direction to dispose of his representation dated 15.11.2024 within the time stipulated by this Court.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.D.S.Nedunchezian, learned Government Advocate who takes notice for the respondents.

3. By consent of both the parties, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission itself. 2/6

4. According to the petitioner, he purchased 1 acres and 41 1⁄2 cents under two sale deeds dated 14.11.1983. However, patta was issued to the petitioner only for five ares in new Sub Division No.168/3C, therefore, the petitioner submitted a representation on 15.11.2024, before the respondents seeking issuance of patta for the entire extent purchased by the petitioner.

5. Based on the said representation, the 3rd respondent conducted an enquiry and submitted a report before the 2nd respondent on 19.05.2025 itself. However, till date the 2nd respondent has not considered the representation of the petitioner. Hence, the petitioner has come before this Court.

6. The learned Government Advocate who takes notice for the respondents would submit that the representation submitted by the petitioner will be considered in accordance with law within the time stipulated by this Court.

In view of the same, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, the 2nd respondent is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 15.11.2024, in the light of the report submitted by the 3rd respondent dated 19.05.2025 and pass final orders on its own merits and in accordance with law within a period of eight (8) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after affording a reasonable opportunity to the petitioner and other interested parties.

8. The writ petition is disposed of with the above observations. No costs.
