For Petitioner : Mr.S.Muthumalai Raja For Respondents : Mr.B.Thanga Aravindh, Government Advocate(Criminal Side) O RDER This Criminal Original Petition is filed under Section 482 of Cr.P.C. seeking for a direction to the respondent Police to complete the investigation in Crime No.2 of 2021 for the offence under Sections 406, 420, 120B of I.P.C. r/w Section 5 of the Tamil Nadu Prohibition of Interest of Depositors in Financial Establishment Act, 1997, as expeditiously as possible and file the final report.

2. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that, though FIR has been registered on 13.12.2021, no substantial progress done in the investigation, thereby, sought for suitable directions.

3. Learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side), on the other hand, submits that, so far as seven witnesses have been examined and Rs.8,00,000/- have been recovered and investigation is progressing in a right direction and requested short time for completion of investigation and for filing the final report. 2/4

In view of the submissions made by both sides and on perusal of records, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of, directing the respondent Police to complete the investigation in Crime No.2 of 2021 and file a final report before the concerned Court as expeditiously as possible not later than four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
