ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by A.D.JAGADISH CHANDIRA,J.) This writ petition has been filed for issuance of a writ of Mandamus directing the 1st respondent to grant 10 days Emergency Leave without Police escort to the petitioner's father namely Rajan, S/o. Palanisamy, Convict Prisoner, PID.No.425725 confined at Central Prison, Trichy, for attending the serious illness of his wife namely Mrs.Lakshmi on the basis of the petitioner's representation dated 07.07.2025.

2. Heard Mr.K.A.S. Prabhu, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.B.Nambi Selvan, learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents.

Taking into consideration the facts and circumstance of the case and the limited relief sought for in the writ petition and without going into the merits of the case, there shall be a direction to the 1st respondent to consider the representation made by the petitioner dated, 07.07.2025 strictly in accordance with law and take a decision within a period of one week from the date of receipt

of a copy of this order.

4.With the above direction, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
