Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent No.1 to provide the "Flood Subsidy" to the petitioner and to initiate appropriate action against the respondent Nos.2 and 3 within the time period stipulated by this Court. This writ petition has been filed for the issuance of Writ of Mandamus, directing the first respondent to provide the "Flood Subsidy" to the petitioner and also initiate action against the second and third respondents for not taking any action to prepare the list of affected farmers in order to extend the "Flood Subsidy". 2.The case of the petitioner is that he is an agriculturist. A scheme was announced by the Government of Tamil Nadu for providing flood relief to the cultivators, who lost their crops. The petitioner approached the respondents seeking for flood relief fund. The grievance of the petitioner is that the second and third respondents did not prepare the farmers list and refused to provide the ID Card in the name of the petitioner. The petitioner made a representation in this regard to the first respondent on 24.11.2014. Since the same was not considered, the present writ petition has been filed before this Court seeking for appropriate directions. 1/3

3.Heard Mr.T.Lajapathi Roy, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.P.Mahendran, learned Additional Government Pleader for the respondents.

4.Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and the limited relief sought for by the petitioner, there shall be a direction to the first respondent to consider the representation made by the petitioner on 24.11.2014 and take a decision in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5.The petitioner is directed to make a fresh representation along with all relevant documents and also a copy of this order. 6.This writ petition is disposed of with the above directions. No costs.
