ORDER
This writ petition has been filed for a mandamus seeking for a direction to issue corrected passport to the petitioner, as per his application dated 27.05.2024 seeking for correction of his passport.
2. Heard Mr.B.Micheal Sebastin, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, Mr.K.Govindarajan, learned Assistant Solicitor General of India appearing for the first respondent and Mr.Vaikam Karunanidhi, learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents 2 and 3.
3. By consent of both parties, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission itself.

4. The petitioner seeks for correction of his passport by changing his name, date of birth and place of birth. He has also submitted an application with the first respondent on 27.05.2024. Since the said application has not been considered, the petitioner has filed this writ petition.
5. No prejudice will be caused to the first respondent, if the application of the petitioner dated 27.05.2024 seeking for correction of his name, date of birth and place of birth is considered on merits and in accordance with law within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.
6. For the foregoing reasons, this Court directs the first respondent to pass final orders on merits and in accordance with law on the petitioner's application dated 27.05.2024 seeking for issuance of corrected passport with regard to his name, date of birth and place of birth within a period of one week from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

7. With the aforesaid direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
