This Writ Petition is filed in the year 2014 as against the order passed by the Regional Passport Officer rejecting the request of the petitioner for renewal of the petitioner's passport stating that the petitioner has involved in a criminal case and he was also in possession of a fake passport.

2. Today, there is no representation for the petitioner.

3. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) appearing for the respondents 2 and 3 submits that a criminal case has been registered as against the petitioner in Crime No.164 of 2013 under Section 151 of 2/5

Cr.P.C and after completion of investigation, case has been closed as 'action dropped'. He further submits that the petitioner has also obtained a passport.

4. Recording the submission of the learned Government Advocate (Crl.side), this Writ Petition is closed as no further order is required. If the petitioner has not been issued with passport, the petitioner is at liberty to file a fresh application by referring the subsequent development in the case registered in Crime No.164 of 2013. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
