ORDER
The instant writ petition has been filed by an aspirant to the post of Village Assistant at Manamelkudi Taluk, seeking a mandamus as against the first respondent herein to consider his representation, dated 12.05.2023. 2.According to the learned Counsel appearing for the writ petitioner, the petitioner was working as a Village Assistant on consolidated pay for a period of 12 years at Manamelkudi Taluk. According to the petitioner, he is fully qualified to be appointed as a Village Assistant. However, without considering his name, one candidate namely Nandhini has been selected and appointed to the post of Village Assistant by the second respondent herein. Alleging illegality in the said appointment, the petitioner has sent a representation to the first respondent on 12.05.2023. So far the first respondent has not passed any orders. Hence, the present writ petition has been filed. 2/4
3.Heard the learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner, the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the first and second respondent and the learned Counsel appearing for the third respondent. 4.In view of the limited prayer sought for in the said writ petition, without going into merits of the case, this Court directs the first respondent herein to consider the representation of the writ petitioner, dated 12.05.2023 and pass order on merits and in accordance with law within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 5.With the above said observations, this writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
