ORDER

This writ petition is filed as against the show cause notice 26.11.2014 issued by the Forest Ranger, Madurai, under Section 68-A of the Tamil Nadu Forest Act 1882 read with Tamil Nadu Lands (Eviction of Encroachments) Rules 1981, calling upon the petitioner to vacate the room attached to Central Nursery, Wild Life Range, Mattuthavani, Madurai

2. Today, when the matter is taken up for hearing, there is no representation for the petitioner.

3. The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondent submits that the petitioner was engaged as a Nursery Watcher on daily wage basis in Wildlife Range, Madurai Division during the year 2013-2014. Therefore, he was permitted to reside at a room attached to Central Nursery, Wild Life Range, Mattuthavani, 2/4

Madurai. The respondent, in order to develop the Nursery, directed the petitioner to vacate the nursery site. However, the petitioner refused to vacate and approached this Court by filing this writ petition. He further submits that the petitioner is now transferred to Theni Division and he is now engaged as Watcher (Supernumerary Post) at Theni Division.

4. Since the petitioner has already been transferred to Theni Division as Watcher (Supernumerary Post), this writ petition is dismissed as no further order is required in this writ petition. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed. 09.03.2023 ogy NCC : Yes / No.
