For Petitioner : Mr.P.Muthuvel For Respondent : Mr.S.R.A.Ramachandran Additional Government Pleader COMMON ORDER This Court, by an order dated 19.03.2025 directed the Director General of Audit, Office of the Local Fund Audit, Chennai - 600 035, to conclude the disciplinary proceedings pending against the writ petitioner, pursuant to the show cause notice dated 16.06.2023. Since such direction has not been implemented by concluding the disciplinary proceedings, the writ petitioner filed a contempt petition in Cont.P. (MD)No.2184 of 2025. In the meanwhile, the State filed an extension petition in WMP(MD)No.15920 of 2025 seeking three months time to complete the disciplinary proceedings.
2. Today, when the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the State states that a 3/6
number of witnesses are being examined in the enquiry proceedings and hence, the officials seek for a further period of three months to complete the same.
3. Considering the genuine request made by the learned Additional Government Pleader, this Court grants a further period of four months to complete the disciplinary proceedings as per the directions issued by this Court in WP(MD)No.7530 of 2025 dated 19.03.2025.
4. Accordingly, the writ miscellaneous petition and the contempt petition stands disposed of. No costs.
