Respondents Prayer : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 06.11.2021 to grant permission to conduct the "PURANA NADAGAM" programme on 19.11.2021 at about 08.00 pm to 12.00 am in Pulimaliapatti Village, Uranganpatti Post, Melur Taluk, Madurai District.

ORDER

Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor for the respondents. 2.The petitioner wants this Court to direct the police authorities to grant the petitioner's permission to hold the petition mentioned event. It is stated that the conducting of this event will not give rise to any communal problem. It is also stated that there are no rival groups. This assertion made by the petitioner's counsel is not controverted by the respondents also.
