: Respondent PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent to give electricity connection to the petitioner's tiled house bearing Door No.2/280 situated at Sarukani, Devakottai Taluk, Sivagangai District, based on her request in the form of representation dated 06.09.2019 made to the respondent herein. ORDER

The petitioner is the owner of a tiled house bearing Door No.2/280 at Sarukani, Devakottai Taluk, Sivagangai District. She applied for electricity service connection to the respondent. The respondent, by letter dated 01.10.2019, has communicated that the petitioner's application was returned stating that it should be submitted in complete form along with revenue documents required by the respondent. Aggrieved over the same, the petitioner is before this Court.

2. According to the learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondent, the petitioner has to apply through online and submit documents before the Assistant Engineer (Distribution), Kalaiyarkovil Division. If the application is submitted in proper format, they are willing to process the same.

3. Considering the submission made by the parties, a direction is given to the petitioner to submit the application in prescribed format through online along with necessary charges and also submit https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2

W.P.(MD)No.20665 of 2019 necessary revenue documents to the Assistant Engineer (Distribution), Kalaiyarkoil Division, forthwith. On receipt of such application in complete form, the Assistant Engineer (Distribution), Kalaiyarkoil Division, shall consider provision of service connection, within a period of four weeks thereafter.

4. The Writ Petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
