O RDER This Criminal Original Petition is filed under Section 482 of Cr.P.C., seeking for a direction to the learned Additional Mahila Court (Magisterial level), Srivilliputhur to expedite the trial and dispose the case in C.C.No.16 of 2023.

It is submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioner that basing on the complaint given by the petitioner, a case has been registered against her husband and her in-laws in Cr.No.17 of 2022 and after the investigation, charge sheet has been filed for the offences under Sections 294(b), 498(A), 506(i) IPC and Section 4 of Tamilnadu Prohibition of Harassment of Women Act, 2002 and Section 4 of Dowry Prohibition Act, 1961 and Section 406 IPC in C.C.No.16 of 2023. Charges have been framed and trial is yet to begin. It is submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioner that the trial is not being proceeded with on the ground that the presence of some of the accused in this case have been dispensed with.

3. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) on the other hand submitted that totally there are 10 witnesses, of which, four of them are official 2/5

witnesses and they are ready to produce the witnesses as per the schedule given by the trial Judge.

Considering the submissions of the learned counsel for the petitioner, learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) and going through the Online E-courts case status of C.C.No.16 of 2023, since the dispute between the petitioner, her husband and family members is a matrimonial one the learned Additional Mahila Court, Srivilliputhur is directed to expedite the trial in C.C.No.16 of 2023 and dispose of the same as quickly as possible, not later than, six (6) months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
