O R D E R

This petition has been filed to direct the respondent herein to produce the body or person of the detenue Andal W/o.Karthick Shanmugam aged 27 years who has been missing from 18.09.19 before this Court and set her at liberty.

2. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner's wife was found missing and as such, he has lodged a complaint. On receipt of the complaint, a case was registered in Crime No.251 of 2019 as 'Women missing'. The allegations in the complaint itself tha t the wife of the petitioner eloped with his neighbour after taking 20 sovereigns of gold jewels.

3. The learned Government Advocate(Crl.side) appearing for the respondent would submit that, on enquiry found that the wife of the petitioner eloped with one Dinesh, who is neighbour of the petitioner and living somewhere else and whereabouts not known. Admittedly, she is a major.

4. Considering the facts and circumstances of the above, the respondent police is directed to complete investigation and file a final report, within a period of Eight (8) weeks, from the date of https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2

5. With the above observations, the Criminal Original Petition is disposed off.
