Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 1 to 3 to take necessary action based on the petitioner's representation dated 1/5

23.06.2025 and subsequently direct the respondents to take over the Village Committee under the direct control of the Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments Department or its functions and finances be managed directly by the temple's trustees.

ORDER

This writ petition has been filed for a Mandamus to direct the respondents 1 to 3 to take necessary action based on the petitioner's representation dated 23.06.2025 and subsequently direct the respondents to take over the Village Committee under the direct control of the Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments Department or its functions and finances be managed directly by the temple's trustees.

2. The petitioners have been issued a notice for certain violations of the provisions of the Act and Rules made thereunder, by the Joint Commissioner vide proceedings bearing reference Na.Ka.No.4525/2025/Aa1, dated 16.06.2025.

3. It appears that the petitioners have also responded to the same. They have also sent a representation to the first respondent to regularize the village committee activity as the private respondents are collected funds for Potli Pothuthal, goat skins and rentals of the Mandapam, rooms and shops.

4. The learned Additional Government Pleader for the respondents 1 to 3 submits that the petitioner's representation dated 23.06.2025 will be considered and disposed of on merits by the first respondent after due notice to the private respondents herein.

5. Recording the above submission, the writ petition is disposed by directing the first respondent to consider and dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 23.06.2025 on merits and in accordance with law after due notice to the private respondents herein as expeditiously as possible preferably within a period of six months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
